Thorlabs Scientific Camera Interfaces Release Notes

KNOWN ISSUES/BUGS
- Zelux firmware versions prior to v0.9.3 report black-level range as 0-4095, but it should be 0-511.
- Quantalux firmware versions prior to v1.0.1 report an incorrect maximum-exposure time when operating in high-frame-rate mode.

VERSION HISTORY

2.1.0 (2022-05-01)
 - Minor performance improvements with short exposures
 - USB-bus-stall recovery added for ESD compliance testing
 - New framework in place for CS cameras on Windows. In particular, this includes cs_camera_class and cypress_fx3_class. Those classes are intended to be extended to include CS cameras on Linux and Zelux cameras on Windows and Linux.
 - Reduced the number of DLLs required to connect to cameras
 - Native Polarization API released
 - Linux libraries can now be placed in the working directory of a running application
 - Arm now requires a minimum of 2 buffers
 - Fixed an issue where tl_camera_get_black_level_range would fail incorrectly
 - Renamed legacy DLLs to include the prefix "thorlabs_ccd_". Their version numbers are now aligned with the rest of the SDK (2.1.0 in this release).

2.0 (2021-08-05)
 - Jumped to version 2.0 to signify a significant process change. All SDK dlls are now versioned the same as the SDK itself.
 - Fixed memory leak and crashes.
 - Fixed crashes related to pulling the USB plug while using a camera.
 - Extensive code refactoring (no new APIs).
 - Included an image-file writer used internally by ThorCam.
 - Now compiled with C++17.
 - Now compiled on Windows with C++ runtime version 2019.
 - Added multiple VID/PID combinations to the discovery process.

 - Fixed bug where on some computers, USB scientific cameras caused ThorCam to crash upon startup.
